Question is asked in Fhase of Commons whether
the licence for the Grand Hotel is held by alperada of German nationality and whether the lisence for the Peak Hotel is held by a recently naturalised Pärman both of military age: also whether at meeting ef the licensing board the unofficials all voted against the grant of licences to these two men and whether when the licences were refused last year they were granted by overriding order of Colonial Government.
What action has been taken on the present occasion and what are reasons inspiring the official policy. Please reply by telegraph.
